Rangers Star Touches Down Ahead Of Ibrox Exit | OneFootball

Rangers midfielder Mohamed Diomande has arrived in Istanbul to undergo his medical and put the final pieces in place ahead of his move to Turkish outfit Corum FK.

The 24-year-old joined the Gers in 2024 on an initial loan deal which was subsequently made permanent on a four-year contract and he has since established himself as a regular presence at Ibrox.

Under Derek McInnes this season, the Ivorian started Rangers’ opening two matches, while he also came off the bench at half-time in Sunday’s meeting with Hibernian.

Overall, the midfielder has amassed 25 goal involvements across 122 appearances in Rangers colours.

That spell now looks set to draw to a close, with Diomande poised to make the switch to Turkish football with Corum FK.

According to Turkish journalist Ertan Suzgun, Diomande has arrived in Istanbul for his medical and to finalise the agreement over his move to Corum FK.

The structure of the deal and financial details have yet to be clarified, although an official announcement could follow in the coming days.

The Gers have already sanctioned midfield departures for Nedim Bajrami and youngster Bailey Rice on loan, with Diomande potentially next through the exit door at Ibrox.

A move for Nicolas Raskin cannot be ruled out this summer either, with several sides already having registered their interest in the Belgian.

Rangers have not only been active in departures but have also reinforced their engine room with the free-transfer arrivals of Dan Neil and Cammy Devlin, while they have also secured Vanja Dragojevic.

It remains uncertain whether the Glasgow giants’ appetite for further midfield additions will change following Diomande’s impending departure.

McInnes’ side are expected to make their next addition on the wing, with Couhaib Driouech due to arrive on Tuesday to complete his move from PSV Eindhoven.
