An exit from Rangers for midfielder Todd Cantwell to Blackburn Rovers is ‘on track’, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The former Norwich City man wants to leave the Scottish giants and told Philippe Clement of his intention earlier this summer, leading to the Belgian not including him in his plans.
The 26-year-old midfielder is fully expected to leave the Gers and a move to the English Championship is in the offing.
John Eustace’s Blackburn side have agreed a deal to sign Cantwell and thrashed out personal terms.
Cantwell has even agreed to take a pay cut in order to push through a move to Ewood Park.
Now it has been claimed that Cantwell’s potential switch to the Championship side is progressing well.
Cantwell played 86 times in the Championship before he moved to Rangers and his possible addition will be a big plus for Rovers.
His departure will also allow Rangers boss Clement space to make further additions at Ibrox.
