Can Old Firm catch Hearts in title race?

The Old Firm can't have met too many times at this stage of the season with neither of them being top of the table, but Rangers and Celtic are both playing second fiddle to Hearts with just 10 games to go in the Scottish Premiership.

Hearts start the round four points ahead of Rangers and six in front of Celtic (who have a game in hand) and they're actually 11/8 favourites to win the Scottish Premiership and end the Old Firm dominance.

They'd be the first non Old Firm team since Sir Alex Ferguson's Aberdeen in 1985 to be Scottish champions and would be the club's first top-flight title since 1960 - with Rangers 7/4 to catch them and Celtic 2/1.

It's not quite must-win territory yet for the Glasgow pair but this could be curtains for the loser if there is one.

Danny Rohl has turned things around at Ibrox with just one defeat in 20 league games since he took over, while Martin O'Neill has done similar in what is his second spell as caretake boss at Celtic Park - with just two defeats in 13 in all competitions.

They both came in the last week and both at home, a 4-1 hammering by Stuttgart effectively ending their Europa League run and damaging 2-1 defeat by Hibs slowing down their pursuit of Hearts.

If that was bad though, Rangers having to come from 2-0 down just to draw at bottom side Livingston was even worse - so it leaves both sides with questions to answer here - all of which added to the usual blood and thunder of an Old Firm clash makes this a mouthwatering prospect.

Draw the bet as neither side can afford to lose

Rangers go in as 6/5 favourites at Ibrox - they've had a full week off to prepare for this while Celtic played in Stuttgart Thursday night, getting a welcome win but expending plenty of energy.

So the Bhoys are 2/1 to get a first league win over their rivals in six games - losing three and drawing two of the past five meetings.

It's a pretty event split at Ibrox over recent games as they've both won one of the past five each with three draws. A draw here is 13/5 and is not the worst shout in the world as it would keep both sides well in the title race.

It's been draws that have held Gers back so far as they've only lost twice but have 11 stalemates while Celtic have lost seven but have become much tougher since O'Neill returned - and both sides know defeat could be fatal to their chances.

Both sides have scored exactly the same number of league goals this season but Rangers have been defensively more sound recently at Ibrox with seven clean sheets in 10, while Celtic have just three in 10 away games. And Celtic also have a few more injury problems to deal with, but I still think they'll be good enough to grab a point.

Back Chermiti in 6/1 Bet Builder

Obviously we've backed at least one goal each but that may be all we get, especially if Celtic don't have their shooting boots on like the last meeting - when they had a massive 21 attempts on goal but hit the target with just nine, scored once and losy 3-1!

So we should have a few attempts on goal at least, and we'll definitely have plenty of fouls so let's lean on those two markets for the specials.

Both sides had 13 fouls in their last meeting while the early season game at Ibrox saw both sides whistled 17 times, so no obvious bias between home and away sides.

One man with a foot in both camps is Rangers forward Youssef Chermiti who has solid numbers for both fouls and shots so we'll put all out eggs in the Portuguese's basket with a player props Bet Builder.

He scored twice against Celtic last time and with a hat-trick against Hearts part of a three-game run with seven shots on target another two at Ibrox at 13/8 looks sweat enough to start with.

He's an even better price at 15/8 to be fouled 3+ times. He was fouled four times in the last Old Firm game and twice in three of the last four, and O'Neill will no doubt instruct his men to try and keep him on a tight leash.
