Conall McGinty – Rangers 1-2 Celtic

Celtic are still a fair bit away from hitting top gear, which is to be expected with so many new faces arriving this season. But do we need to be at our absolute best to beat this current theRangers team? I don’t think so. Celebrating winners against St Mirren like you’ve won the Champions League is their current level. No amount of fist pumping pitch side will be enough to inspire a win against Celtic, no matter how much the manager ‘gets it’. There will be no jig on the touchline for Karaoke Deek after this one. Just the sound of boos ringing in his ears once again.

Eddie Murray – Rangers 1-2 Celtic

The Rangers have showed their hand by over celebrating a last-gasp winner at home v St Mirren. Says it all; they are riding their luck, and the Duran/Hogh/Hassan/Nygren threat should ensure that their staunch fan base is left to ponder another trophyless season when we roast them home and away in successive weeks. Eight games in and their season will be riding on the Scottish Cup. Let it be so.

David Faulds – Rangers 0-2 Celtic

Tactically Celtic will have the upper hand and a goal in each half from Kasper Hogh then Camilo Durán will see the Hoops make it a magnificent seven in a row in terms of league victories this season. That will open up an eight points lead over Derek McInnes’ side which even this early in the season is fairly commanding.  Strange team news from Martin O’Neill with Duran replacing Hassan on the right wing and Tounekti starting. But the bench will be well utilised today and the silence after the Celtic goals will be a joy to behold from afar. COYBIG!

Lubo98 – Rangers 0-1 Celtic

Kasper Hogh is due a goal and I expect him to head home the only goal of the game in which Celtic are in control and anything that threatens at the other end is dealt with by Sam Johnstone.  The songbook will be horrendous but will be gradually silenced by a competent Celtic performance with Martin O’Neill once again showing just how accomplished a manager he is. Cheer up Derek McInnes.

Conor Spence  – Rangers 1-1  Celtic – Celtic to win on penalties

I can see a repeat of March’s Scottish Cup tie, with very little between the sides and the game going the distance. Both teams come into it in decent form without exactly blowing anyone away, but are finding ways to win. Having no Celtic supporters inside Ibrox will undoubtedly make it more difficult, but the experienced players in this squad have dealt with that environment before and won’t be fazed by it. It’s Celtic’s biggest domestic test of the season so far and one that should tell us plenty about where this team is but I fancy Celtic to edge it on penalties.
