Rangers welcome Kilmarnock to Ibrox Stadium on Sunday afternoon in a crucial Scottish Premiership clash.
With just a single point separating the two sides in the standings, both will be eager to claim an important result that could shape their early-season trajectory.
Nedim Bajrami returns to contention for the hosts after missing the midweek Europa League game against Brann. The Albanian playmaker is expected to add a creative spark to Danny Röhl’s side as the new manager searches for his first home victory in charge.
Mohamed Diomande’s fitness remains uncertain after recent injury issues, while long-term absentees Rabbi Matondo (knee), Dujon Sterling (Achilles) and Kieran Dowell are still unavailable.
Following the 3-0 defeat in Norway, Röhl is tipped to alter his lineup, with Bojan Miovski pushing for a start ahead of Youssef Chermiti and Max Aarons potentially slotting in at right-back.
Skipper James Tavernier didn’t hold back after that loss, labelling the performance “disgraceful.” Röhl later addressed supporters, apologising for the display and promising to “work tirelessly to return Rangers to the standards expected of this club.”
On home soil, Rangers’ league form has been underwhelming. They’ve secured only one victory in eight Premiership matches and remain winless at Ibrox, drawing all three home fixtures. Their most recent outing ended in a dramatic 2-2 draw against Dundee United, with Tavernier once again proving decisive by scoring a late equaliser.
Possible Rangers starting XI: Butland; Tavernier, Souttar, Cornelius, Meghoma; Moore, Raskin, Barron, Gassama; Danilo, Miovski
The match will kick off at 4pm BST on Sunday, 26th October.
