Roma manager Claudio Ranieri coached his final game tonight as Roma beat Torino 2-0.
The Giallorossi, however, did not qualify to the Champions League.
After the match, Ranieri credited the team for following him and salvaging a season that seemed to be over in November.
“When I arrived the team was at its lowest point, their morale was down. I played easy trying to restore their confidence and bring them together.”
“I was lucky because the fans know me, they know that I don’t sell smoke and I tell the truth. They know they can trust me and they helped me by welcoming us with love despite the initial defeats.”
He added, “The boys have always given everything and this is vital for me. I thank them for that.”
