After ten days of domestic cup and continental action, the Premier League returned to our screens this weekend.
A tamer February will follow the chaos of January, with many teams returning to one-game-a-week schedules.
Gameweek 25 was on hand to deliver the usual surprises and brilliance that the Premier League relentlessly provides, and it was a big weekend for some of the division's new arrivals, including an emerging 17-year-old sensation.
Here were the six standout Premier League performers across the weekend's ten games.

Gameweek 25 concluded with a beautifully chaotic bout between two underperforming sides hindered by injuries. Tottenham got over the line by virtue of a James Maddison first-half tap-in, and there were plenty of positives for Ange Postecoglou to take as Spurs secured back-to-back Premier League wins. It's been a tough couple of months for the Lilywhites, but Djed Spence has been a constant delight. The 24-year-old full-back has not put a foot wrong since his integration, and he was absolutely superb against Man Utd. He played with vigour when attacking open space and subtlety in the face of pressure, allowing the hosts to progress down the left against a confused United press with ease. We've seen the Englishman lock down some of the division's best during his recent upsurge, and United had little joy when matched up with Spence one-on-one. His sliding intervention to deny Rasmus Hojlund late on proved crucial in Spurs preserving their precarious advantage.Thomas Tuchel must be intrigued.
Alcaraz has settled in quickly with the Toffees / Warren Little/GettyImages
The former Southampton playmaker was one of the lower-key additions of the January window, with Alcaraz joining Everton on loan late in the day. His Premier League nous has doubtlessly aided his quick start to life at Everton, with the Argentine swiftly endearing himself to Toffees supporters on derby day.Alcaraz followed up a lively cameo in midweek with a productive outing at Selhurst Park on his first start for the club. The midfielder teed up a resurgent Beto for the opener, before sealing all three points for David Moyes' side by smartly finishing from inside the area.
Minteh scored twice in Brighton's Friday night win / Mike Hewitt/GettyImages
The weekend started with a 3-0 victory for Brighton over a slumping Chelsea, with the Seagulls feasting on a woeful defensive display from the Blues after Kaoru Mitoma got the ball rolling with a majestic opener. It was Minteh's brace which helped Fabian Hurzeler's side over the line. The spritely wide man started the season brightly and has returned to prominence in recent weeks. In addition to his goal, Minteh frequently made Marc Cucurella look silly - which any English viewer would've enjoyed given the left-back's pantomime villain antics last summer.

Arsenal were dire for much of their 2-0 victory over Leicester, with Mikel Fellai--, sorry, Merino's brace off the bench while operating as a makeshift centre-forward helping the title hopefuls over the line. However, amid their struggles, 17-year-old Nwaneri stood out like a sore thumb. The teenager boasts immense poise and guile, with his balance and nifty burst of pace allowing him to beat his man on the inside and out. He kissed then thumped the woodwork before teeing up Merino's all-important opener with a delightful cross that was right out of Bukayo Saka's playbook. No wonder he's telling Mikel Arteta to keep playing him.
Christie (R) is having an excellent season / Mike Hewitt/GettyImages
Andoni Iraola's Bournemouth have been one of the stories of the season, and Ryan Christie is worthy of the plaudits the likes of Dean Huijsen, FPL God Justin Kluivert, and Antoine Semenyo have garnered amid the Cherries' push for European football.Christie has evolved from a canny playmaker adept out wide into a do-it-all midfielder, with the number ten on his back depicting the player he once was. The instincts in and around the box remain, however, and they came to play at Southampton. His left-footed cross for Dango Ouattara's opener was nothing short of wicked, and there was little Aaron Ramsdale could do to deny the Scot from doubling Bournemouth's lead from distance.
Sharpshooter / Alex Livesey - Danehouse/GettyImages
The new Egyptian prince arrived on English shores with a sharpshooting reputation from his trigger-happy spell at Eintracht Frankfurt amid a prolific campaign. After a bright debut, Marmoush endured a quiet couple of outings before announcing himself to the Premier League with a performance in front of goal we all should be getting used to. Marmoush's efficient fingerprints were all over Man City's 4-0 thumping of Newcastle, with the versatile forward netting a first-half hat-trick from a meagre expected goals haul of 0.71. The 26-year-old supplies an alternate dynamic to City's familiar attack, and his sharpshooting ability will doubtlessly take the burden off Erling Haaland.
