As the hunt for the final Champions League place alongside spots in the Europa league and Conference League ramps up, we're ranking the teams chasing European football on their final three fixtures.
The better the fixtures and likelier chance of winning, the higher the team will place in our rankings. A score out of 10 is given, with 1 being least favouable and 10 being optimal fixtures.
Die Schwarzgelben look like the form team at the minute in Germany, and what better time to come up against arguably the most disjointed side in VfL Wolfsburg this weekend. With skipper Maxi Arnold missing through suspension, BVB should have no problems dispatching the Autostadt club.
Matchday 33 is undoubtedly Dortmund's most difficult fixture in the run-in, but this weekend could alter it's worth for opponents Leverkusen. Should Bayern win the league this weekend, Xabi Alonso's men would have nothing to play for and Dortmund could capitalise on that if they maintain their determined hot streak.
Die Schwarzgelben wrap up their campaign against Holstein Kiel at the Westfalenstadion. One would presume the visitors would be relegated by this stage due to their tricky fixture run. If Niko Kovač's team start strong, the floodgates could open to release a tsunami of goals - especially if goal difference comes into play!
Saturday will be an important factor in Freiburg's first game as Bayern Munich take on RB Leipzig knowing a win secures the Bundesliga title. Should the Bavarians win, Freiburg's opponents Leverkusen have nothing to play for on Sunday, but a draw/loss for Bayern would keep Die Werkself's ambitions alive.
It's a similar situation albeit at the other end of the table for the Breisgauers' visit to Kiel on Matchday 33. Kiel are currently three points off the relegation play-off spot and will be battling for every point on offer, even if Freiburg will be heavy favourites for the game.
A final Matchday 34 meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt at the Europa-Park Stadion shouldn't cause too much trouble. The Hessen club look assured of their Champions League spot which might open the door for Freiburg to grind out what could be an important win whilst Dino Toppmöller rotates his squad.
Die Roten Bullen have been handed the nightmare of all tasks as they look to prevent Bayern Munich from clinching the Meisterschale with victory this weekend. Leipzig's incentive is to claw their way back into Champions League contention.
A Matchday 33 trip to Werder Bremen could pose some problems too - Ole Werner's team may not be aiming for Europe's premier competition but chances of a Europa League or Conference League spot are very much still on for Die Werderaner.
Leipzig round off their 2024-25 Bundesliga campaign against VfB Stuttgart who have looked rather weary in the last few weeks. Results and form have faded and with it any European aspirations, so Zsolt Löw's team should pick up three points here.
Ole Werner's side are highly unlikely to reach the Champions League, but a place in the Europa or Conference League would be no mean feat. However, this weekend's visit to Union Berlin is daunting given they are unbeaten in seven consecutive games despite facing Frankfurt, Bayern and Leverkusen.
Die Werderaner host RB Leipzig in Matchday 33 in what could be a direct battle for Europe. Currently separated by only three points in the table, this game could prove pivotal for either teams' ambitions for UEFA competitions.
An away game at FC Heidenheim puts a lid on the season for Bremen, and once again it's another banana skin fixture. Heidenheim will be more than prepared to grind out any necessary result if they are to hang onto their relegation play-off spot which offers them a chance at survival.
Bo Henriksen's side appear to have ran out of steam in recent weeks with a couple of sub-par results, but Europe remains a tangible prospect. The visit of Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend is a tad unfortunate - Die Adler probably only need another win to ensure Champions League football for next season.
Mainz make the trip to the Vonovia Ruhrstadion on Matchday 33 as they take on VfL Bochum. On paper this looks great but despite staring relegation in the face again, Bochum appear to always have the knack of pulling out big results when it matters most - watch this space!
Die Nullfünfer welcome Bayer Leverkusen on Matchday 34 with the visitors expected to be 'on the beach' by that stage assuming Bayern have the Bundesliga title sown up - Mainz could take advantage of that to seal a memorable result if Europe is still within touching distance.
