Barcelona will clash heads with Newcastle United at St. James’ Park this Tuesday night as they hope to secure a win on the road in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League clash. The Catalan club managed to earn a solid 1-0 victory away at Athletic Bilbao recently, so they would be full of confidence going into this game.
Hansi Flick will set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Pedri could all play from the start of this game.
Joan Garcia will function in between the sticks for the Catalan club after he kept a clean sheet in his last appearance. Pau Cubarsi will resume his partnership with Gerard Martin at the heart of the Barcelona backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Eric Garcia will try to prove his worth as the right-back, while Joao Cancelo looks to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Ronald Araujo will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Fermin Lopez, Pedri and Marc Casado will operate as the central midfielders for Barcelona as they focus on establishing their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.
Dani Olmo and Marc Bernal will be available for selection on the bench as they await their opportunity to shine in the second 45 minutes if required.
Raphinha will hope to give a good account of himself on the left flank, while Lamine Yamal looks to make a difference as the right-sided wide player. Both of them will try to get in behind the Newcastle backline at every chance they can get.
Robert Lewandowski will lead the charge for the Catalan giants up top. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet versus the Magpies this Tuesday night.
Ferran Torres will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if needed.
