Mason Greenwood will face OL on Tuesday at 21:00 in the first leg of the Champions League play-offs. He joined Fenerbahçe this summer, a club based in one of Istanbul’s feminist quarters in Türkiye.

According to L'Équipe, while a handful of voices in the area have opposed his arrival because of past domestic violence allegations, most supporters have not been hostile, accustomed to similar profiles.

He arrived from Marseille on 16 July and was filmed at the airport giving a slight nudge to his partner to steer her towards a photographer.

The clip drew attention because Harriet Robson, the same woman, had accused him in early 2022 of attempted rape and assault, with images and an audio recording cited at the time.

She later withdrew her complaint.
