Bild claims Eintracht Frankfurt could be without Rasmus Kristensen for the rest of the season. The Danish defender sustained an ankle injury in the 3-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach at the weekend, which requires surgery.
It is another setback for Albert Riera, who is unbeaten in his first two matches in charge. Last week, Belgian defender Arthur Theate suffered a meniscus tear and will be out for at least a month.
Against Gladbach, Arnaud Kalimuendo was forced off holding his shoulder. That further dents Eintracht’s attack, with Jonathan Burkardt and fellow January signing Younes Ebnoutalib already sidelined.
Ansgar Knauff underwent abdominal surgery and will be sidelined for the foreseeable future.
Riera faces several positions to fill before Saturday’s trip to Bayern Munich as Eintracht aim to close the gap to the European places.
