Ratings pick Sunderland’s strongest XI as four-two-three-one dominates | OneFootball

According to Sunderland Echo, an analysis of WhoScored’s average match ratings identifies Sunderland’s strongest XI, set in a four-two-three-one.

Regis Le Bris has used that shape in 19 of 36 Premier League matches this season.

The XI has Robin Roefs in goal, a back four of Nordi Mukiele, Dan Ballard, Omar Alderete and Reinildo Mandava, with Granit Xhaka alongside Noah Sadiki in midfield.

Chris Rigg features on the right, Enzo Le Fee operates centrally and Chemsdine Talbi plays from the left, with Brian Brobbey up front. Their ratings are Roefs 6.7, Mukiele 7.0, Ballard 6.9, Alderete 6.8, Reinildo Mandava 6.7, Xhaka 6.9, Sadiki 6.6, Rigg 6.3, Le Fee 6.8, Talbi 6.4 and Brobbey 6.3.

Sunderland’s return to the top flight has been highly positive, with memorable wins against Chelsea, Bournemouth and local rivals Newcastle United.

Promoted via a Championship play-off final win over Sheffield United, they laid firm groundwork with a productive summer window. New arrivals including Xhaka, Roefs, Alderete and Brobbey have impressed across the campaign.
