Red and White Army has issued a positive update after meeting interim chief executive Tom Burwell and club representatives, saying talks were constructive and delivered solutions for the majority of affected supporters.
Sunderland Echo reports that the session was called after complaints about cancelled away tickets and problems during season ticket renewals, with the club acknowledging concerns and acting on individual cases. The update followed public unrest late in the season, when some cases were later resolved after further dialogue.
RAWA added that, following the end of the 2025/2026 Premier League campaign, it will liaise soon with the FSA on European matters, reflecting its pride at being a European club.
The meeting also addressed frustration around attempts to renew in other parts of the ground. The group said the club engaged with the points raised and is seeking to improve processes where possible. The group said it will keep working with the club to carry lessons into future ticketing.
On staffing, RAWA relayed that the club described recent personnel changes as strategic rather than reactive, aimed at operating successfully in the Premier League after life in the Championship.
For travelling support, Sunderland intend to send their own stewards on busy LNER trains, following a positive trial around the Bournemouth game when behaviour appeared to improve.
RAWA said Paul Nelson and Jane Hughes represented the group at a recent Premier League Fan Advisory Board meeting at Villa Park.
