Manchester United have built their legacy on a backbone of youth, and have some of the most exciting young players in Europe in their squad.

INEOS have continued the club’s tradition of investing in talented young footballers since taking charge at the Theatre of Dreams.

Among the players they have signed are Leny Yoro, Chido Obi, Ayden Heaven, Patrick Dorgu, Diego Leon and Benjamin Sesko.

Yoro, Dorgu and Sesko have been heavily involved with the senior side so far and are expected to play key roles going forward. It now appears that the Red Devils have set their sights on an emerging Brazilian talent.

United want Rayan

United added to their Brazilian contingent by signing Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer. The Red Devils also have Casemiro on their books, although the veteran midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season.

BOLAVIP have now stated that the Premier League giants have entered the race to sign Vasco da Gama starlet Rayan. The report adds that the Red Devils are keeping a close eye on the teenage forward.

Rayan has been quite impressive for the Brazilian club of late and has caught the attention of multiple sides across Europe.

The 19 year old has displayed maturity beyond his years, while his attitude has also impressed the Red Devils. Rayan is blessed with pace, strength and technical ability, which could aid in his integration into the Premier League.

However, winning the race for his signature will not be easy.

Wanted in the Premier League

The report adds that Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are the frontrunners in the race, while Chelsea, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion are also interested in Rayan.

Vasco are aware that they have a gem on their hands and are already preparing to tie him down to a new deal until 2028. The teenager has scored 16 goals from 46 games this season, and his current contract expires at the end of next year.

Rayan Stats 2025

Manager Fernando Diniz is keen to keep Rayan in his squad, but the growing interest in his signature will make it difficult for the Brazilian side to keep hold of their star.

Vasco want to increase his release clause to £60 million in a bid to secure a premium fee from his potential departure. Given the player’s steady rise, it’s seems likely that he will eventually end up in Europe.

Although United already have a young striker in Sesko, adding further quality to their attack would aid the club in their quest to return to their former glory.
