Rayan named in Brazil squad for Australia and India friendlies | OneFootball

Rayan has been named in Brazil’s squad for a friendly double header against Australia later this month and a first ever meeting with India in October. According to Bournemouth Echo, the Bournemouth forward has been called up for all three fixtures.

He was a breakout highlight at the Seleção’s disappointing World Cup this summer, as they exited in the round of 16.

Rayan was on the bench for the opener against Morocco, then came on in a 3-0 win over Haiti before starting the remaining three matches.

His first international start arrived in the 3-0 victory over Scotland, where he set up Vinicius Junior in the seventh minute. He then helped Brazil past Japan in the round of 32, before starting and playing 67 minutes of the 2-1 loss to Norway.

Brazil face Australia at Queensland Country Bank Stadium on Friday, September 25, then at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Tuesday, September 29. They will then travel to Kolkata to play India on October 3.
