Rayo Vallecano’s Federación de Peñas and the Plataforma ADRV have urged the club to stop immediately its season-ticket renewals and new sales, and to refund supporters who have already paid, amid uncertainty over early home games. According to Superdeporte, the request reflects doubts about which stadium will host the opening fixtures.
In a letter to the club’s ownership, shared on social media under the title '¿Y qué pasa con los abonos?', the groups criticised the board’s silence. They added they still do not know where those matches will be played or whether supporters will be admitted.
The move followed the Comunidad de Madrid’s precautionary suspension of the stadium concession, part of proceedings to extinguish the concession granted to Rayo at Estadio de Vallecas. A technical audit found serious deficiencies affecting safety that require immediate works so the team can return to Estadio de Vallecas as soon as possible. The team will not begin the season in Vallecas while those works are carried out.
The fans argue the club already knew upgrades were needed to meet safety rules yet pressed ahead with the campaign. Renewals for 2026/27 opened online on 24 July, then at the Estadio de Vallecas ticket office from Monday.
They want the campaign paused now and money returned to those who have renewed. They say it should resume only, if appropriate, once the venue for home fixtures during the urgent works is confirmed by the regional government, with deadlines extended for renewals and new sign-ups.
