Arthur Vermeeren could remain at RB Leipzig beyond the summer, while Tidiam Gomis says he is not considering a move.

"I'm not thinking about a transfer, not even on a loan deal." The 19-year-old said in a flash interview with Sky Sports after the friendly win.

Head coach Martin Demichelis has left the door open for Vermeeren, noting the midfielder must prove himself during pre-season as Leipzig continued preparations with a narrow win over Ingolstadt.

He added that after the fifth or sixth week of pre-season training he would speak with Marcel Schäfer about players returning from loans.

Vermeeren spent last season on loan at Olympique de Marseille. The six-time Belgian international played 39 games for the club he joined on an initial loan in 2024.

Gomis, a French midfielder, has made 30 appearances for Leipzig since arriving from then Ligue two side SM Caen for €one million at the start of 2025.
