Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to launch a blockbuster move for RB Leipzig’s teenage sensation Yan Diomande, according to Bild.

Liverpool had a €100 million bid rejected, and the Parisians are set to make an offer.

The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international has emerged as one of the hottest properties in European football after a stunning breakthrough campaign in the Bundesliga.

Diomande bagged 13 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions following a summer switch from Leganes.

His ball-carrying numbers are amongst the best in the Bundesliga, but he also backs it up with end product after those carries.

He is currently representing his country at the FIFA World Cup on Saturday.

He has delivered two successive, eye-catching performances, which will please Leipzig, as they want a bidding war.

The Saxony club values Diomande at over €120m (£103m), a figure they believe reflects his enormous potential and his contract until 2030.

Liverpool could face serious competition from the reigning Champions League winners.

The French giants have been in discussions with Diomande’s representatives at Roc Nation for several weeks and are expected to formalise their interest with an offer.

Despite the growing interest, Leipzig are relaxed over the situation.

They did not insert a release clause into Diomande’s long-term contract and are continuing talks over an improved deal that would include a salary increase from his current €2m-per-year package.

Leipzig’s immediate focus has recently been elsewhere, following the departure of manager Ole Werner and the appointment of Martin Demichelis.

With that managerial transition now complete, Diomande’s future is expected to move back to the top of the agenda.

Liverpool want the teenager, but any hopes of securing his services now appear likely to hinge on overcoming PSG’s financial muscle.
