Castello Lukeba faces a spell out after a left adductor muscle injury sustained in RB Leipzig’s 2-1 win at Werder Bremen on Saturday.
The timeframe for the centre-back’s return remains unclear. He is very unlikely to feature against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday.
According to Kicker, the issue is minor, a small muscle fibre tear, so a lengthy absence is not expected. If recovery goes to plan, he could return for Eintracht Frankfurt on 18 April.
For the Gladbach game, Nicolas Seiwald is expected to drop into central defence alongside Willi Orban, as he did in Bremen after Lukeba went off.
The resulting midfield gap could be filled by Ezechiel Banzuzi, or by Brajan Gruda if he recovers from his muscular issues in time.
