RB Leipzig have been dealt with a double injury blow ahead of their Bundesliga clash against Wolfsburg on Saturday.
The Saxony club confirmed that they will be without right-back Kosta Nedeljkovic (19) for the coming weeks after the Serbian defender suffered a stress reaction in his right knee, an injury that “requires careful treatment and a rest period of several weeks to ensure a full recovery.”
Summer signing Max Finkgräfe (21) – who is yet to make his debut – sustained an MCL tear in his left knee during training. RB Leipzig believe that he can return to team training after the October international break.
Elsewhere, Antonio Nusa, Romulo, Assan Ouedraogo and Lukas Klostermann all returned to full team training on Wednesday, while Amadou Haidara completed parts of training as planned following muscular problems.
After starting their new era under Ole Werner with a 6-0 defeat against Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig have won three successive Bundesliga games, which puts die Roten Bullen third.
