RB Leipzig interested in Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera | OneFootball

Sky Germany reports that RB Leipzig are interested in boosting their defensive options this summer and are already looking at several options.

Leipzig are continuing to look for players who are high potential and high resale value. However, they will only make signings once their head coach position has been filled.

Nevertheless, the Saxony side are still preparing for this summer, with defence an area they are looking at.

Rennes’ Jérémy Jacquet is on Leipzig’s list as is Valencia duo Cristhian Mosquera and Yarek Gasiorowski. However, the signing of a defender will depend on how their defence looks in the future. As the players have different profiles, so they would suit replacing different defenders.

Out of Jacquet or Mosquera, only one would be signed as they are different profiles, while Gasiorowski will only become of interest if either Castello Lukeba or El Chadaille Bitshiabu leaves this summer.

With Leipzig missing out on European football altogether, departures are expected. Both Xavi Simons and Benjamin Seško have already been linked with departures.
