Sport Bild reports that RB Leipzig do not plan to extend Willi Orban’s contract beyond 2027. The 33-year-old has been at the club since 2015.

Orban could still spend one final season in Leipzig if he stays put and accepts a back-up role.

The 20-year-old Abdoul Koné arrived from Stade Reims for a reported €21 million this summer, and is expected to step straight into the starting XI at Orban’s expense.

The report also states that Lukas Klostermann is not in the club’s future plans, with Leipzig keen to move the out-of-favour defender off their payroll.

On an estimated €7 million per year and among the top earners, it is unclear whether the 29-year-old will leave. He was encouraged to move on last summer but chose to stay despite very limited opportunities. So far this season he has played 76 minutes across six appearances.
