RB Leipzig sign Japanese attacker and send him out on loan

Ota Yamamoto has been confirmed as a new player for RB Leipzig.

The 22-year-old Japanese attacker has signed a contract running until 2031 with Die Roten Bullen, making the switch from Kashiwa Reysol.

Yamamoto will immediately be sent out on a one-year loan to RB Ōmiya Ardija, where he also spent last season on loan.

During that spell, the forward scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 19 appearances.

Ota Yamamoto is a natural attacking midfielder, but is also capable of playing as a second striker or operating as a winger.
