RB Leipzig have submitted a €24m bid for Burnley’s French defender Maxime Estève, according to Sacha Tavolieri. The Saxony club are in talks with their English counterparts about the possible transfer of the 24-year-old centre-back.
Leipzig are preparing for the eventual departure of Castello Lukeba and/or El Chadaille Bitshiabu, although there are no offers or concrete interest for either player, according to Sky Germany’s Philipp Hinze. If there is no indication that either will leave, a move for Estève, for the time being, remains on hold.
Estève was a regular in Burnley’s line-up in the 2025/26 season, making a total of 34 Premier League appearances. The Clarets failed to keep their league status, but Estève managed to impress with his consistent showing at the back. The player, who was signed from Montpellier for €12m, is reported to have no issues agreeing personal terms.
