Martín Satriano (23) is set to join RC Lens on a loan deal from Inter Milan after Olympique de Marseille dropped their interest in the forward, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
Satriano has spent the last two years on loan at Stade Brestois, last season playing a starring role as Les Ty-Zéfs pulled off a historical achievement in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. Brest, despite their lack of resources, had been keen to retain the Inter Milan forward. However, they have had competition.
Faris Moumbagna’s injury on the opening day of the Ligue 1 season meant that Marseille were once again the market for a forward, and they identified Satriano as a potential target. However, OM have since dropped their interest. RC Lens entered into the fray late on and look to have beaten the competition.
Will Still’s side are in the market for a striker following the departure of Elye Wahi earlier in the window. Les Sang et Or have now seemingly got their man. An agreement between the striker and Lens has already been concludeed, whilst an agremenet between the clubs on a loan deal with an obligatory purchase clause is also close.
