FLW's Birmingham City fan pundit has given his verdict on the pressuring mounting on Craig Gardner

Birmingham City’s disappointing start to the season has led to some questions over director of football Craig Gardner.
The Blues have invested heavily in the first team squad between this and last summer, with their sights set on competing for promotion to the Premier League.
However, Chris Davies’ side have won just three of their opening eight fixtures, which has left them mid-table at the start of October.
The Midlands outfit have earned victory in just one of their last five league games, while also suffering defeat at home to Port Vale in the second round of the EFL Cup.
Gardner was quite involved in the recruitment process which built the team currently struggling for form in the early stages of the season.
When asked about Gardner’s position being questioned, FLW’s Birmingham fan pundit Jason Moore has urged supporters to relax about the team’s poor form.
While he is aware that the squad has some holes in it that weren’t filled in the summer, he believes some perspective is needed instead of hitting the panic button eight games into the season.
“So it’s abundantly clear that there are gaps in the squad, like we’ve not got a left-back, we haven’t got cover for Iwata,” Moore told Football League World.
“But I just think all Blues fans, me included, just need to take a step back, breathe, and just reset.
“Form is not good enough, granted, but we’re mid-table, we’re not in the bottom three.
“It’s not that bad, I just think everyone needs to take a chill pill and just relax.
“Okay, you can question everything under the sun while form’s not great.
“That’s the typical football fan when it’s not going great, there’s always something to blame, it’s getting a bit silly now.
“Stoke, we lost 1-0, if we win that it’s a different game, if we beat Port Vale, everyone’s looking at it a bit different.
“People just need to stop playing the blame game, rally together and just get behind the team and just stop looking for someone to blame.”
Moore has claimed there are reasons to blame for the team’s poor form, but that the recruitment team were praised a lot in the summer for their business, and that fans should now get behind the team during this tough run instead of criticising.
“This is getting a bit silly now, you can blame x, y and z for whatever you want,” he continued.
“Recruitment wasn’t good enough, you left holes in the gaps, but just stop moaning at this point.
“Everyone was singing his praises in the summer, bringing like Demarai Gray, bringing Kyogo in and people like that, and the recruitment he did last season.
“He was the best thing since sliced bread.
“Just relax.
“We’re all so fickle, football fans, and wanting everything to be perfect and things don’t work like that.
“Just relax and back the football club, every aspect of it.
“It’s not easy running a football club and being successful, you have to rally together.
“I think he’s the right man for the job, Chris Davies is currently still the right man for the job.
“Just get behind the boys and get behind the club and go from there.”
Birmingham are currently 11th in the Championship table, with 11 points from a possible 24.
Next up for Davies’ side is a trip to fellow promoted side Wrexham, with the two teams meeting on Friday in an 8pm kick-off.
Tom Wagner clearly has a lot of ambitious plans for Birmingham, and they will require being in the Premier League sooner rather than later.
If form doesn’t improve, then it will be a big test of his patience with both Gardner and Davies.
A lot of money has been poured into this project already, so it’s no surprise that supporters are putting pressure on the recruitment team to improve results.
However, the level of praise for their business is a good warning to fans that there is no use in getting too worked up over summer business as it’s the points earned during the season that matter most of all.
