La Liga outfit Real Betis have this weekend been dealt an altogether considerable blow on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that midfield standout Isco is facing up to a lengthy incoming spell on the sidelines.

Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis marked their return to action on Saturday night, facing off with Málaga in a friendly clash.

When all was said and done, the Verdiblancos were condemned to the wrong side of a disappointing 3-1 result.

As alluded to above, though, the eventual outcome at La Rosaleda proved far from the only source of concern for boss Pellegrini and his staff.

In addition, star midfielder Isco was forced off with a fitness problem.

And as alluded to above, confirmation of the extent of this blow has since come to the fore online.
