Real Betis loanee Alex Perez is desperate to return to training with the Inter Milan Primavera side after several injury setbacks.

According to FCInterNews, the 18-year-old center-back is ‘impatient’ to feature for the Nerazzurri after making only one appearance for the Primavera this term.

Given the youngster’s burgeoning talent, the club retained an option to secure his permanent services for a reported fee of €500,000.

However, Perez was never supposed to link up with the senior squad straight away.

The club planned to help him learn the language and adapt to the new surroundings with the Primavera squad.

Unfortunately, the teenager’s injury-proneness has hindered his adaptation period at Giuseppe Meazza.

Indeed, he suffered an injury during a Primavera clash against Cagliari in mid-September.

Perez reportedly renewed the same injury that sidelined him for most of last season during his stint at Estadio Benito Villamarin.

Early prognosis suggested he could be in the treatment room for six to eight weeks.

But there’s now hope he could return to action in less than a month.

Primavera coach Andrea Zanchetta reportedly admires Perez’s qualities.

Zanchetta would be ready to reintegrate the young Spaniard as soon he returns from injury.

Perez, on the other hand, is desperate to play.

He is hellbent on earning a permanent move to Giuseppe Meazza. But to do that, he needs to stay healthy.

Only 82 minutes of football this season wasn’t enough for him to showcase his skills.

Nevertheless, Inter doctors won’t risk forcing Perez’s early comeback.

They’re keen to avoid worsening the matter.

Therefore, the Spanish whizz-kid will remain on the sidelines until further notice.

But the season has just started, meaning he’ll have more than enough time to prove his worth.
