The brass at La Liga outfit Real Betis are actively working on a deal for a 2nd member of the first-team ranks at Leeds United.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Mateo Joseph as the player in question.
Betis, for their part, have already tied up a deal for one player to have played a starring role in Leeds’ promotion back to the Premier League this past season.
As confirmed by a number of sources across the continent, Junior Firpo is all set to link up with Manuel Pellegrini’s Verdiblancos squad on a free transfer.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then Betis’ shopping at Elland Road is far from done.
As per a report from MD:
‘Real Betis are moving forward with an agreement with the agents of striker Mateo Joseph, and are hoping to close one soon with Leeds, with whom there are currently significant differences over the transfer fee, according to Abc.’
Leeds, it is claimed, are seeking a fee of €13-15 million to part with their Spanish youth international attacker this summer.
Betis, though, are hopeful of closing a deal for a lower sum.
