Real Betis youngster on the verge of PSV switch | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Real Betis is closing on a move to The Netherlands, with PSV Eindhoven.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Nobel Mendy as the player in question.

Mendy, for his part, is a 20-year-old central defender, who was signed by Real Betis on a permanent basis in the summer of 2024.

The Senegalese spent the bulk of this past season plying his trade with the Verdiblancos’ reserve outfit.

Mendy also featured on occasion for Manuel Pellegrini’s senior side, though, racking up five total appearances across all competitions.

And his efforts over the length of the campaign, evidently, proved enough to convince those behind the scenes at the aforementioned PSV of his talents.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of MD that:

‘Real Betis are very close to closing the deal for Nobel Mendy to PSV Eindhoven for around €4 million plus bonuses. The Dutch club has recently improved its offer, bringing it close to the €5 million fee Real Betis is asking for.’
