With mounting issues in midfield, Real Madrid is aiming to make a major move next summer to strengthen the squad. Rodri's name keeps coming up persistently. The club has reached a decision.

Under contract with Manchester City until June 2027, Rodri is currently discussing a possible extension with the Sky Blues, while the futures of several teammates remain tied to Pep Guardiola’s decision to continue or not on the Manchester bench, according to AS.

Rodri will soon return to the Santiago Bernabéu for another clash between Real Madrid and Manchester City, in the round of 16 next Wednesday. According to the Spanish media, and despite the admiration shown by Madrid’s top brass, no concrete move is being planned for now, especially after injuries derailed any potential approach.

As a result, Rodri is no longer in Real Madrid’s plans, and the club is now exploring other options to bolster the midfield.
