Real Madrid academy talent set for €8-10 million Premier League transfer – report | OneFootball

Following the reports of an agreement between Real Madrid and Fulham for the transfer of Gonzalo Garcia, it appears that the two clubs have struck another deal involving a different La Fabrica player.

Gonzalo is headed to Craven Cottage, with the Premier League shelling out €40 million to acquire 70% of his economic rights from Real Madrid.

Now, according to MARCA, the Merengues have reached an agreement with Fulham for the sale of another academy talent, Cesar Palacios.

€8-10 million for 70% rights

Just like the Gonzalo deal, Real Madrid have once again opted not to relinquish full control of the promising La Fabrica graduate.

As such, a fee of €8-10 million has been agreed for 70% of Palacios between the Spanish giants and Fulham.

Only minor details remaining before the move becomes official.

Arbeloa the key again

Palacios enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, scoring 16 goals and providing five assists to finish as the second-highest scorer in Group 1 of Spain’s RFEF Primera Division. He also went on to make his first-team debut.

However, like Gonzalo, the winger had already decided that this summer was the right time to leave Castilla and begin the next stage of his career.

The 21-year-old had previously appeared destined for Como, with talks having reached an advanced stage. However, Fulham’s late intervention, led personally by Alvaro Arbeloa, completely changed the situation.

The proposal now on the table satisfies Real Madrid’s desire to keep long-term control over one of their most promising academy graduates, while also giving Palacios the opportunity to begin his senior career under a coach who has long believed in his potential.

Real Madrid continue to profit from La Fabrica

The two departures further underline Real Madrid’s successful strategy of generating significant income through academy graduates.

Only last month, the club sold Nico Paz to Como for €60 million while retaining a buy-back clause worth €80 million.

The Gonzalo and Palacios agreements continue that trend, with the Merengues set to pocket €50 million from the two deals, while maintaining future control over two highly-rated young talents.
