The football transfer market has officially closed for now, but the buzz around potential signings for Real Madrid is far from over.
Rumours are still swirling about new players possibly joining the team, and this speculation is only expected to grow in the coming months.
Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, made it clear that there would be no more players coming in or leaving the club for the current season. According to him, the only new additions this season will be Endrick and Kylian Mbappe.
However, behind the scenes, Real Madrid’s President Florentino Perez and CEO Jose Angel Sanchez were working on signing Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich.
Despite their efforts, Bayern Munich decided not to let the Canadian player go, even though his contract with the German club is set to expire in June 2025.

Given this situation, Real Madrid are considering a strategy similar to what they did with Brahim Diaz, who was signed for a low fee in January even though they could have waited until the summer to sign him for free.
The idea is to try to bring in Davies during the January transfer window for a minimal fee, rather than waiting until his contract is up.
People at Santiago Bernabeu are thinking along these lines: “If Bayern Munich agree to sell him to us for €15 million, we will bring him in.”
However, they also acknowledge that “Bayern Munich are unlikely to let him go,” reports Defensa Central.
Regardless of how things turn out in the next transfer window, both Perez and Sanchez are confident that Davies will eventually join Real Madrid next summer.
This confidence is partly based on the player’s own desire to wear the Real Madrid jersey. If Davies does make the move, it will be a significant boost for Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, potentially elevating the team’s quality to new heights.
