Unless something drastic happens, everything suggests that Real Madrid will sign Trent Alexander-Arnold in the summer, when his contract at Liverpool expires.
The 26-year-old has been the Merengues’ priority target for the summer window and appears all set to arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu in a few months.
Now, according to journalist Rodra P (h/t RM4Arab), Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham played a key role in helping the club secure Alexander-Arnold’s signing.
It is no secret that Bellingham is one of Alexander-Arnold’s closest friends and the midfielder is believed to have had a hand in the Liverpool ace’s decision to make the switch.
The England international, who joined Real Madrid in 2023, spoke highly of the club and helped guide his compatriot towards the Spanish capital giants.

Now, barring any surprise, the two will play together for club and country from next season onwards.
The report further states that Alexander-Arnold will join Real Madrid during the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place for the first time in June.
The tournament is scheduled to be played in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025 in the United States of America.
Real Madrid have been drawn in Group H of the tournament, along with RB Salzburg, CF Pachuca, and Al-Hilal.
Los Blancos play their final group game on June 26 and should they progress to the next round, there is a strong likelihood that Alexander-Arnold could play a part in the Club World Cup, given his contract at Liverpool will expire on June 30.
