Appointed as Real Madrid's manager following Xabi Alonso's departure, Alvaro Arbeloa spoke out about his ambitions with Los Blancos.
On Tuesday, Álvaro Arbeloa faced the press to lay out his vision for Real Madrid, his priorities, and his approach to the dressing room. The coach began by stressing the need to start from scratch. "Everyone starts from zero, it's a new beginning for all. The players have shown me a lot of desire and enthusiasm," he said, signaling a general amnesty after the tensions under Xabi Alonso. "I've seen a group with a lot of determination, ready to fight for everything," he added.
Asked about Vinicius, Álvaro Arbeloa replied: "I don't project myself into scenarios that don't exist. I'm lucky to have Vini, he's loved by everyone. We all saw the final: that's the Vini I want to see—smiling, dancing, enjoying himself."
The new Madrid coach's project is based on a simple idea: reconnect with Real Madrid's DNA. "This club is about winning, winning, and winning again. That's our DNA, our obsession," he hammered home.
Arbeloa was full of praise for Antonio Pintus, the fitness coach, delighted to have a cornerstone of Los Blancos at his side: "It's a privilege. He has five Champions Leagues. He knows the players and his work fits perfectly here."
Asked about his relationship with Xabi Alonso, he was clear: "He wished me the best, just as I would have done for him. Our friendship is above all else. What I've discussed with Xabi will stay between us."
