While the main focus of the two European giants remains the Champions League and La Liga, they also have an eye on the summer transfer window.

Madrid and Barcelona planning wonderkid signings this summer

According to Cadena Ser, Los Blancos are planning to trigger buy-back clauses for Victor Munoz and Nico Paz.

Munoz, who has turned 22, has hit the ground running at Osasuna, making 11 direct goal contributions in 31 appearances across all competitions.

Paz, 21, has also been earning rave reviews in the Serie A with Como, scoring 10 goals in 29 league matches.

The duo will join the club’s pre-season tour and will get the opportunity to stake their claim for a permanent spot in the senior team.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are plotting a summer move for Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid Christian Kofane.

The 19-year-old has caught the eye of the Blaugrana with his exceptional performances in the Bundesliga this season.

He has struck five goals and created four assists in 24 league games for Leverkusen.

Leverkusen are also expected to demand a fee above £50 million for the young marksman.

This could be a major stumbling block for Barcelona given their recent financial troubles.

They are also considering another loan deal for Marcus Rashford instead of triggering his £26 million buy-out clause.

Although Manchester United have made it clear there will be no haggling over Rashford.
