Paris Saint-Germain looked to be firmly in the driving seat in the race to sign River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono (17), however, Fabrizio Romano now reports that they are facing serious competition from Real Madrid.
The Argentine sensation has caught the interest of a host of clubs across Europe, with Manchester United, Juventus, Real Madrid, and even Como interested in trying to prize him away from his formative club River Plate. However, it was thought that the Champions League winners were primed to win the race, with the teenager wanting to take his first steps in Europe in the French capital.
It was reported by Sports Zone over the weekend that Mastantuono had even agreed to join PSG, however, Real Madrid are now pushing, too. Les Parisiens remain in advanced talks to sign the midfielder, however, nothing is yet signed, whilst Real Madrid are in contact with the player’s entourage and working on securing a deal.
