Real Madrid are willing to sell France international midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni to Manchester United this summer, according to the Sun.
Man United have had the Frenchman on their radar for a while and have been handed a boost.
Madrid are now open to selling Tchouameni on one condition – if any of his suitors offer the right fee.
The Red Devils target joined the La Liga club in a €100 million deal in 2022 and Manchester City star Rodri has been identified as his potential replacement at Santiago Bernabeu.
Man United may have to break the bank to sign Tchouameni, and fans will hope a deal is indeed on the cards.
It was reported a few days ago that the 26-year-old had agreed a contract extension with Madrid.
However, there has been no formal announcement, and a move to Old Trafford could now be pursued.
The Red Devils have signed Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans this summer, but manager Michael Carrick still wants a specialist defensive midfielder.
Tchouameni has proven himself as one of the best number 6s in the world, and he could be the perfect option to replace Casemiro at the Old Trafford club.
He was one of the best players at the World Cup, helping France reach the semi-finals.
Man United could do with such a calibre of midfielder in their ranks, and getting a deal over the line for him will be huge.
