Real Madrid’s influence off the pitch continues to grow at an extraordinary pace, and the latest figures only confirm what many already suspected.
Backed by a detailed study carried out by Euromericas Sport Marketing (h/t AS), it has come to light that Real Madrid have shattered all previous records when it comes to jersey sales in 2025.
According to the study, Real Madrid are now the football club that has sold the most shirts anywhere in the world over the last 12 months.
As such, Los Blancos sold a total of 3,133,000 jerseys, a figure that was finalised in November and takes into account sales across the entire year.
No football club has ever crossed the three-million mark before, making this a truly historic achievement.
As is often the case, the comparison with Barcelona is unavoidable. Once again, El Clasico extends beyond the pitch and into global popularity.
This is because Barcelona finished second on the list with 2,940,000 shirts sold, while Paris Saint-Germain completed the podium with 2,546,000.

The wider top-10 ranking paints a clear picture of football’s global reach. European giants dominate the list, with Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Chelsea and Al Nassr all featuring.
In total, six European clubs, two South American sides, one American team and one Saudi club make up the rankings.
Interestingly, the study also looked beyond clubs and focused on individual players.
At the player level, the biggest name of all in shirt sales is not a Real Madrid star, but Lamine Yamal.
The Barcelona youngster leads the chart with 1,320,000 jerseys sold, ahead of Lionel Messi with 1,280,000, and Robert Lewandowski with 1,110,000.
What stands out even more is Real Madrid’s depth of global appeal. While they do not place a player in the top three individually, they are the only club with three players inside the top 10.
Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo all feature among the world’s best-selling names.
