Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has full belief in the talents of youngster Franco Mastantuono.

This comes amid the understanding that ‘Mou’ would be more than happy to have the 18-year-old at his disposal for next season.

Mastanuono’s future has of course long been considered as being somewhat up in the air in Spain’s capital.

Fresh off something of an underwhelming debut campaign in the colours of Real Madrid, the Argentine has been widely tipped to depart on loan.

And according to The Athletic, such an option has not yet been ruled out. It is also noted, though, that Mastantuono himself is eager to stay put to fight for his place in 2026/27.

And one individual who would be more than open to such a prospect, it would appear, is José Mourinho.

As per the reliable Mario Cortegana:

‘Mastantuono would only seek a move if the club tells him to, something that seems unlikely as sources close to Mourinho indicate that he is a player he likes a lot and has faith in.’
