José Mourinho is enjoying a stable spell at Benfica, where he is under contract until 2027. But according to AS, a call from Real Madrid could turn the situation on its head.
The 63-year-old Portuguese manager has the right to terminate his contract at the end of the season without compensation. Still loyal to Real Madrid, Mourinho might be tempted to return, even though there has been no official contact yet.
For now, the Spanish Federation believes his strong personality could complicate a potential role as national team manager. Meanwhile, Real Madrid is considering replacing Álvaro Arbeloa with a more experienced coach as early as next season.
