Arda Guler’s future at Real Madrid remains firmly secured despite growing interest from Arsenal, according to a report from Fichajes.
In fact, the Spanish giants have unequivocally ruled out any possibility of selling the talented Turkish midfielder, shutting the door on Arsenal’s hopes of acquiring the youngster during the January transfer window.
It is said that Real Madrid view Guler as a critical piece of their long-term plans. Club president Florentino Perez, alongside the board, considers the 19-year-old playmaker a key figure in shaping the future of the team.
Arsenal, on the other hand, had envisioned replicating the success they achieved with Martin Odegaard by integrating Guler into their squad. However, Real Madrid’s firm stance has left the Gunners with no chance to secure the player.
Guler joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 from Fenerbahce and despite showing promise, the young midfielder has encountered significant challenges, including injuries and stiff competition for playing time.

As a result, he has managed just 307 minutes on the pitch this season. Even with these limited opportunities, Guler has demonstrated flashes of his immense potential, which has further solidified Real Madrid’s decision to retain him.
Arsenal identified Guler’s versatility and technical abilities as ideal traits for strengthening their squad.
The Turkish international can operate as an attacking midfielder or play on the wings, offering cover and competition for players like Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Bukayo Saka.
However, Real Madrid remain adamant that he is not available for transfer, forcing Arsenal to explore alternative options for their January reinforcement plans.
For the club, they are determined to nurture his development and despite the slow start to his journey, the club is confident that he will eventually live up to the high expectations placed upon him.
