Real Madrid are taking concrete steps in the transfer market despite the ongoing uncertainty at the club due to the upcoming presidential elections.
As reported earlier, Ibrahima Konate appears all set to join the club having reached a preliminary agreement over a move.
Meanwhile, Los Blancos are now taking firm steps to secure the signing of Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan.
Indeed, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Real Madrid and Dumfries are close to reaching an agreement over personal terms.

Negotiations between the club and the player’s camp are progressing and an agreement might not be far away.
The next step for Los Merengues will be to decide whether to activate his release clause, which stands at a little less than €25 million or to negotiate a lower fee with Inter Milan.
Liverpool, for their part, had shown an interest in signing the Netherlands international as well, but it appears that Real Madrid have now firmly moved ahead in the race.
Having lost Dani Carvajal this summer, with the former club captain leaving at the end of his contract, Real Madrid needed a new right-back who can compete with Trent Alexander-Arnold for the starting berth.

And, in Dumfries, the La Liga behemoths will be getting a player with proven pedigree and immense experience at the highest level of football.
A guaranteed starter for both his club and country, the 30-year-old right-back also has the seal of approval from incoming Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho.
While it might be a departure from Real Madrid’s recent recruitment policy of signing young players with potential, Dumfries’ acquisition could prove to be a shrewd short-term addition for the Merengues.
