Real Madrid confirm fresh injury blow | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Tuesday announced a fresh injury blow in the club’s squad.

This comes amid confirmation that key defender Éder Militão is set for an incoming spell on the treatment table.

As per a statement across Real’s website and social media platforms thus afternoon:

‘Following tests carried out on our player Eder Militão by Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the quadriceps of his left leg. His progress will be monitored.’

Initial reports point towards Militão as being in line for anywhere from ten days to two weeks on the sidelines, meaning the Brazilian faces a race against time to be fit to face Celta Vigo on October 19th.

He joins the likes of Brahim Díaz, Dani Carvajal and Dani Ceballos in being unavailable for selection to boss Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff at present.
