After the match on Saturday, boss Carlo Ancelotti had revealed that Vinícus had been “in a lot of pain” with his neck and that it was “completely frozen”.

The club have not given a time frame for Vini Jr’s recovery, however it does put into doubt whether the dynamic forward will join up with the Brazil squad in the forthcoming international break.
