Real Madrid’s transfer strategy is not only about Galacticos. It is also about patience, planning and long-term vision.

According to a report from MARCA, there is a possibility that the club could generate up to €100 million this summer purely from academy-related operations.

The projected income would come from two main channels: fresh sales of emerging talents and clauses attached to players who have already left but for whom Madrid retained 50% of the rights.

Real Madrid have been operating through this formula for years and it is still highly effective.

When there is no immediate pathway to the first team, Real Madrid allow promising youngsters to leave, but they do so while keeping control.

By retaining either a buy-back clause or half of any future transfer fee, the club ensures it remains involved in the player’s trajectory.

Talent across Europe

Across Europe, there is now a network of former La Fabrica graduates increasing their market worth.

Mario Martin has secured regular minutes at Getafe, with his value approaching €5 million.

Antonio Blanco has become a key figure at Deportivo Alavés, pushing his valuation into double digits. Alvaro Rodriguez is thriving at Elche CF, registering five goals and four assists.

Meanwhile, Takefusa Kubo remains one of the clearest examples of the system’s strength.

At 24, and valued at around €30 million, Madrid still own 50% of his rights, meaning any future move could bring significant income.

Furthermore, Victor Munoz is also impressing at Osasuna, and while his market value is estimated at €10 million, he could be sold at a very high price given his rise this season.

Notably, Osasuna rejected a €25 million offer for the 22-year-old winger in January.

All this means that if key clauses are activated this summer, Real Madrid’s academy machine could produce one of its most profitable windows ever.
