According to AS, Real Madrid are targeting Levante winger Jorge de Frutos as a possible replacement for Lucas Vázquez.
De Frutos, 24, is a former Real Madrid Castilla player, who spent time on loan at Real Valladolid and Rayo Vallecano before moving to Paco López’s Levante on a 5-year deal in 2020.
Levante paid €2 million for half of the player’s rights with Madrid retaining the other 50 percent and the right of first refusal on any future sale. Madrid are now reportedly interested in bringing him back to the Spanish capital after a brilliant first season with the Valencia-based outfit.
So far in the 2020/21 campaign, he has provided eight LaLiga assists and scored three goals along the way.
Lucas Vázquez is also having an impressive campaign, however, the Galician winger turned wing-back is out of contract in the summer and no movement has been made regarding a new deal for the versatile player.
