La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week been dealt a fresh setback on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that defensive star David Alaba is set for a another incoming spell on the sidelines.
Stopper Alaba was for his part in from the off this past weekend, as Real Madrid kicked their campaign back into gear in a league trip to Getafe.
This marked just the Austrian’s 2nd start of the season.
En route to an eventual 1-0 triumph for Los Blancos at the Estadio Coliseum, however, Alaba was hooked from proceedings at the interval.
This came owing to a calf complaint suffered during the first-half in Spain’s capital.
The former Bayern Munich man, in turn, was put through a round of medical tests on Tuesday morning.
And the results of as much have since been revealed.
As per a report from Real Madrid insider Melchor Ruiz of COPE:
‘David Alaba (has a) severe strain in (his) right soleus, will be out for 7 to 10 days. Will miss (matches vs) Juventus and Barcelona.’
