La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Friday been dealt an altogether considerable blow on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that a key member of Carlo Ancelotti’s is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.

The player in question? Jude Bellingham.

This afternoon, during his pre-Real Valldolid press conference, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Bellingham had suffered a fitness issue during training earlier in the day.

As much was in turn swiftly followed by official confirmation of an injury on the part of the England international, cited by Real Madrid as:

‘An injury to the plantaris muscle in his right leg.’

So, just how long are Los Blancos expected to be without their midfield standout?

As per a report from club insider Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, those behind the scenes at Valdebebas point towards Bellingham as being in line for ‘around a month’ on the sidelines.
