A fresh insight into the future of Vinicius Tobias with La Liga giants Real Madrid has this evening been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Marca, who point towards defender Vinicius’ stint in Spain’s capital as inching ever closer to an imminent end.
The right-back, for his part, has been plying his trade on the books of Real since the summer of 2022, when he was brought in on an initial one-year loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.
Amid disagreement over his long-term prospects with the club, the Blancos brass then opted to extend Vinicius’ stay for another season last summer.
This time round, though, a call will be needed, as to whether the 20-year-old has a future at the Santiago Bernabéu or not.
And, unfortunately for Vinicius, as things stand, as much looks out of the question.
As per the aforementioned Marca, the stopper has ‘not passed the test’ put before him in Madrid.
Originally brought in with a view to acting as a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal in the club’s first-team setup, Vinicius has failed, this season in particular, to convince the coaching staff at Valdebebas of his credentials towards as much.
Though he has not exactly disappointed, the youngster has simply not done enough to set himself apart from the Castilla crowd.
It is therefore concluded that ‘Real Madrid has no intention of exercising their purchase option, of above 10 million euros’.
